JB Services - Property Maintenance

The split-level, random Cotswold stone wall has block work backing - giving added strength for retention. Softening features are the built-in barbecue, a waterfall, and alcoves for plants - a changeable feature to match the seasons. The courtyard itself is laid to random millstone slabs that also cap the spiral stone steps.

Start off by excavating out the bank to create courtyard. Build a retaining wall to hold back the upper garden. The beginning of the dry stone wall stages has started at this point. View from upper garden of the courtyard and the paved area. Paved stairs to the left. Side profile, view from the stairs. Showing paved courtyard and completed dry stone wall and shelved features. Main wall with stairs leading from the right. Alcoves and stone slab shelf providing a barbeque area. Wider view facing the water feature and surrounding courtyard. Alcoved area with stone slab shelf leading down to water feature, complimented with a display of plants and pottery. View of water feature, top right of photo displaying water fall, down into raised pond.
